Medline Donates to the Children’s Burn Foundation

One thing common at every trade show is the amount of giveaways attendees receive. At the recent American Burn Association annual meeting, whose membership includes physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, firefighters, and hospitals with burn centers, Medline chose to partner with the Children’s Burn Foundation.

Supporting more than 50,000 families each year, the foundation provides state-of-the-art reconstructive treatment, emergency family assistance, survivor and family camps, counseling, a teen support program, and prevention and education programs.

Rather than offering an in-booth giveaway, the Medline Foundation donated $10 for every person who visited all three stations in the booth at the ABA meeting. Attendees spent about 10 minutes at each station, for a total of 25-30 valuable minutes in-booth. As a result, $2,500 was donated to provide support services for children burn survivors. The Children’s Burn Foundation team was so delighted because their particular patient population is not one that most organizations naturally think of, yet their patients have a lifetime ahead of challenges and need so much love and support.
