Medline, Gov. Parson celebrate state-of-the-art distribution center in St. Peters
Part of Medline’s Healthcare Resiliency Initiative, facility will help improve healthcare services delivery in the region

St. Peters, Mo., August 30, 2023 – Medline today celebrated the opening of its 800,000-square-foot LEED-certified distribution center in St. Peters, Missouri. Governor Michael L. Parson joined leaders from St. Charles County and the City of St. Peters, as well as Medline team members, during a ribbon-cutting event at the distribution center located at 5000 Premier Parkway. Representatives from hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare providers in Missouri and Southern Illinois also took part in the event, which included remarks from officials and facility tours.
“We are grateful to the state of Missouri, St. Charles County and City of St. Peters for welcoming us to this community,” said Steve Miller, Medline executive vice president of supply chain, “We pledge to continue to be good neighbors, responsible employers, and real advocates for improving the delivery of health care in this state and region.”
The $75-million site handles the distribution of thousands of medical products and devices shipped to healthcare providers across the continuum of care, such as hospitals, nursing homes, ambulatory surgery centers, hospices and physician offices. The St. Peters facility supports more than 150 jobs and a payroll of over $8 million.
“Missourians’ access to quality health care remains a critical priority for our administration,” said Governor Mike Parson. “That’s why we welcome Medline and its goal to help improve our health system by supporting so many of the dedicated health care providers across Missouri and neighboring communities. We’re confident our state’s skilled workforce, central location, and welcoming business climate will serve Medline well.”
The St. Peters distribution center is a part of Medline’s $2 billion Healthcare Resilience Initiative, a national, multi-year capital expenditure campaign that includes new distribution centers, manufacturing capabilities and information technology upgrades to further its commitment to delivering superior customer service and improving health care services delivery. Medline will spend approximately $280,000 annually with local vendors for maintenance, upkeep and operations support of the St. Peters distribution center.
