Medline Industries, Inc. completed the acquisition of the NAMIC® brand of fluid management systems from AngioDynamics, (NASDAQ: ANGO) on May 31, 2019. This acquisition combines the market leadership and brand strength of NAMIC® with Medline’s large customer base and distribution scale.

“The addition of the NAMIC brand allows us to expand our product portfolio more formally into the Cardiac Cath Labs and IR space,” said Yogesh Wadhera, Division President of the newly formed Namic Division within Medline. “We have been increasingly impressed with the NAMIC operation, and look forward to building upon their strong foundation as we move forward.”

As part of this acquisition, approximately 330 employees will join the Medline team and continue to work in the Glens Falls, N.Y. facility that manufactures injection molded components and assembles custom kits for the global business. Fourteen sales representatives in the US, Canada and Europe are also joining the team.

Medline will continue to leverage the Namic brand and the high quality reputation customers have come to expect from the Namic product offering. The company also announced immediate investments in capital equipment in Glens Falls to drive additional growth.
