At the 2018 National Association of Educational Procurement Annual Meeting, universities learned about ways they can enhance the student experience. In particular, they heard about forming the right partnerships.

“Medline grew up as a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies, and selling it to hospitals and nursing homes,” explained John Ahearn, senior vice president of research and education, Medline. “What Medline is doing as it relates to universities is we’re bring our hospital supplies to nursing programs, dental schools, vet schools and allowing the universities to train their students on the products they’re going to see when they get out in the real world.”

Ahearn told NAEPTV that the biggest trend universities are dealing with is the pressures of rising costs. By standardizing entire campuses, universities have the option of reducing those costs by using Medline as a one-stop-shop for all their supply needs.
