Medline wins Preferred Supplier of the Year award

Top honor from University of Texas System Supply Chain Alliance for consistent value and support

In the midst of an early shut down due to COVID-19, Medline did what some may have considered a monumental feat. It successfully completed prime vendor implementations at two of the University of Texas System’s three acute care institutions with the third coming on board in Q2 of 2021.

Now, the organization is honoring Medline for its exceptional level of support and care during a difficult time with the UT Alliance Preferred Supplier of the Year award.

“Every year, the UT Alliance presents the Preferred Supplier of the Year award to a company that consistently drives value and places the highest priority on customer needs,” said Richard St. Onge, UT System Associate Vice Chancellor. “This year, we’re proud to bestow the honor on Medline.”

An exclusive $120 million partnership with Medline in 2020 unified distribution across UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, and will include UT Medical Branch in Galveston in spring of 2021.

Medline successfully exceeded metrics documented in the Supplier Relationship Management Program for the last fiscal year, which led to the recognition.

“So much happens behind the scenes in healthcare and we are laser focused on ensuring our customers have what they need, when they need it most,” said Brian Adcock, VP of Corporate Sales for Medline. “Medline is honored to receive this award and we look forward to more great collaboration to benefit the organization, clinicians and those in their care.”
