Rhonda Baliff is the EMS Divisional Sales Manager at Medline. Prior to this role, Baliff was a divisional sales manager in the post-acute segment. Baliff spent 12 years as a volunteer emergency medical technician (EMT) in her hometown’s rescue squad in Wisconsin. Prior to joining Medline, Baliff was the regional manager of practice development for Aspen Dental. Baliff attended Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wis., where she received her Associates in business administration and management.

Michelle Christiansen

Vice President of Clinical Sales and Marketing

Michelle Christiansen is the vice president of clinical sales and marketing for Medline’s Personal Care Division where she is responsible for developing new products and educational programs. Some of her specialties include skin antiseptics and prepping techniques, urologicals, operating room turnover improvement and safety, and pressure injury prevention. With more than 15 years of experience in university and community healthcare institutions, Christiansen holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Medical Science degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is also an active member of SIS-Surgical Infection Society (both U.S. and Europe), Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Association of Operating Room Nurses, American Orthopedic Society, Association for Vascular Access, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, International Incontinence Society, and Society for Urological Nurse Association.

After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing, Margaret Falconio-West continued post graduate work at the College of St. Francis and completed her WOC education at Emory University. She holds licenses in Illinois as a registered nurse as well as an advanced practice nurse. She is board certified as full scope of practice wound, ostomy, continence nurse (CWOCN) through the WOCN Certifying Board. She has presented numerous scientific posters and papers at national symposiums and published many peer reviewed journal articles in the field of skin, wound and continence care. Falconio-West is Medline’s senior VP of clinical services, advanced wound care sales.

Karen Frey is the philanthropy manager at Medline, a core strategy of the corporate social responsibility platform. She develops and executes the Medline breast cancer awareness (BCA) campaign, the largest philanthropic initiative at Medline. Frey also planned and implemented strategy for annual BCA events, including the Medline Pink Glove Dance video competition and BCA month activities for Medline employees. In addition, Frey leads the Medline relationship with American Heart Association and other community relations programs.

Bryan Galloway, MD, is a clinical specialist with Medline’s Clinical Services Division. He is responsible for on-site monitoring of clinical trials and training of clinical staff in advanced wound care and skin health products. Dr. Galloway has extensive clinical experience across the continuum of patient care, and brings that knowledge to the complex world of skin health. Dr. Galloway graduated received his Bachelors of Science degree from Clemson University Calhoun Honors College and his medical degree from the University of South Caroline School of Medicine.

As a NASL Board member, Brian is an expert in ancillary care and services for the long-term and post-acute care sector. Before coming to Medline, Garner ran a therapy equipment and supply company for ten years, where he was very involved in state and national associations.

Doug Golwas has over 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and business development leadership. His experience has been focused on medical product development, sales and supply chain. In his current role, Golwas is responsible for overall leadership of corporate sales at Medline. These responsibilities include Medline’s programs and services including financial offering and contracting, logistics solutions, and technology in support of med/surg distribution and supply chain to hospitals and IHNs. His experience with Medline includes work with GPOs, aggregation groups and major IHNs. He most recently led the company’s ambulatory surgery center division. He received his Bachelor of Science from Texas Tech University and holds an MBA from the University of Dallas.

Kim Haines

Kim Haines, RN

Director of Clinical Services for SPT Perioperative Solutions

Kim Haines has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University and been a Registered Nurse with an operating room certification for over 25 years. She has held various clinical support roles including Clinical Resource Manager, Director of Clinical Operations, Market Director Integrated Health Networks and Director of Clinical Services for the perioperative consulting services team. Her clinical contributions as a healthcare business industry expert includes publications in OR Connection magazine, as well as various speaking engagements at domestic and international operating room conferences. She has co-authored an interactive Sharps Safety education program for Medline University as well as CE programs for Medline University and AORN conferences. She has consulted in perioperative settings on various clinical support engagements including supply management, individual and multi-system standardization projects, product in-services and education, perioperative best practice for SSI and preference card assessments. Haines currently holds several medical design patents and has completed her Lean certified from the Kaizen Institute.

Bob Ortiz is the senior vice president of post-acute field sales at Medline, and has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare distribution. He joined Medline in 2010 to develop the company’s physician office program. In his role, he manages a national team of 200 sales reps, both outside and inside sales, as well as sales managers, corporate accounts specialists and capital equipment specialists. Prior to his tenure with Medline, Bob worked at McKesson Medical-Surgical as a Physician Office sales rep and division manager for 19 years. He began his sales career with Procter & Gamble. Bob was also an active duty U.S. army captain and frequently writes about military and veterans’ issues. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington and Lee University and Masters of Science degree from the University of Southern California.
